I have owned a roto-zip and the dremmel. They just don't have the power of this DeWalt. The circle cutter selection is very handy and actually does a nice job. If you are hanging drywall this of policy is a must. For recessed lighting it actually makes things easy. Put your drywall in place, start somwhere on the inside of the light. Work your way out to the edge, determined work your way over the covering and then ensue the covering of the light all the way around. The can will pop straight through and you will have a exquisite cut. This is a great tool.

I Recently Purchased A Roto-Zip As An Aid For Installing Wall Tile. After A 1/4 Inch Cut Into What I conception Was Wall Tile The Carbide Bit Broke. I Was Not Very Impressed. Also The ample Feel, ability And Power Disappointed. I Returned The Tool. I Then Ordered The Dewalt Cut-Out Tool. I Am Very Impressed With The Quality, Feel And Power Of This Tool. Again I Tried The Tile Cut, But Without Much Success. I Was Able To Cut The Tile But So slowly It Wasn'T Worth The Bother. Then I Tried another Piece Of Tile That Was Marked Wall Tile. I Was Amazed At The Difference. I Was Able To Cut Holes For Pipes In Nothing Flat. operate Was exquisite And There Was Very diminutive Chipping colse to The Cut Which Could Be Minimized Even More By Slowing Down The Rate Of Feed. I Also Tried The Tool In Wood, Drywall And Much To My Surprise, Steel. I Was Able To Make Some Very Nice Cuts In 1/8" Wall quadrilateral Steel Tubing. verily I Am More Pleased With This Dewalt Tool Than Most Of The Other Dewalt Tools I Own. My Only recommendation To Other Purchasers Is That If You Intend To Use This Tool For Ceramic Tile, Make Sure The Tile Is verily Wall Tile.
